UMCSC opens nominations for lay, clergy delegates to GC2019

By Jessica Brodie. Anyone interested in being a delegate to the 2020 General and Southeastern Jurisdictional conferences has to act fast. Lay (non-clergy) potential delegates have until Jan. 10 to submit their nomination form to their district superintendent, and clergy potential delegates have until Feb. 1 to submit theirs to the conference secretary.

Veteran Christmas card project one way small church shows big heart for missions

By Laura Camby McCaskill. One small church is proving it can affect the community in a huge way—by taking missions to another level. Bethel, Peachtree Rock, United Methodist Church has taken missions to heart and run with it. The congregation at Bethel is involved in many mission projects—at least 17!—and this Christmas, local veterans felt Bethel’s Christian love.
