The Lake Junaluska Peace Conference: Longing for Peace, Exploring the Heart of God

LJ-web-article-peace-conf2-logoLake Junaluska, NC—Advance the work of reconciliation and peace by learning peacemaking and contemplative practices from the Abrahamic traditions during the 7th annual Lake Junaluska Peace Conference November 12-15 at Lake Junaluska, NC.

The 2015 Lake Junaluska Peace Conference is an ongoing response to God’s call to peacemaking and reconciliation and will focus on the theme of Longing for Peace / Exploring the Heart of God.

Leadership includes Rabia Terri Harris, the Founder of the Muslim Peace Fellowship; Rabbi Or Rose, Founding Director of the Center for Global Judaism at Hebrew College; and Dr. Sam Wells, Vicar of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London.

Special music will be provided by Yuval Ron and Ensemble. Yuval Ron is a world-renowned musician, composer, educator, peace activist, and record producer. The Yuval Ron Ensemble, which has been actively involved in creating musical bridges between people of the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faiths, will perform on Saturday evening.

Registration is now open. Early registration is $120 per person before September 1, and student rates are $60 per person. Lodging and meal packages are available.
