Two from South Carolina are serving on the leadership team for the United Methodist Association of Communicators.

Advocate editor Jessica Brodie was elected as an at-large member of the team at the UMAC spring meeting, held March 22-24 in New Orleans. Skyler Nimmons, South Carolina native and member of the Advocate board of trustees who now serves as the communications director for the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church, has been on the team since 2016. He represents the North Central Jurisdiction.

A third from South Carolina, Matt Brodie, was elected to the UMAC Awards Committee.
