‘Healthy Churches: Striving for Wholeness’ to be theme of Summit on the Black Church

Registration has begun for the Summit on the Black Church, set for Oct. 3-5 in Summerville.

Held at the Lowcountry Conference Center, the theme of this year’s event is “Healthy Churches: Striving for Wholeness,” drawing from Philippians 1:6.

The three-day lineup is packed with workshops, fellowship opportunities and more. Thursday night’s comedy show will feature Mike Goodwin, and event speakers include the Rev. Laura Kigweba and the Rev. Kendal McBroom from Church and Society.

Christal Brown Heyward will serve as the worship leader.

Deadline to register for the hotel group rate ends Sept. 3, and the Summit event registration ends Sept. 20.
