Jan. 10 is deadline to pay apportionments

Apportionment payments continue to pour in as the South Carolina Conference nears its Jan. 10 deadline. As of Dec. 9, the Treasurer’s Office had received $13.22 million, or 75.4 percent of 2016’s $17.52 million budget—0.9 percent ahead of last year on that date, which was 74.5 percent.

“I am still optimistic that we can match last year if not exceed it,” said Conference Treasurer Beth Westbury.

For those churches making payment electronically through VANCO, the payment must be initiated a day earlier: by 4 p.m. Jan. 9.
