Men’s ministry organizers gearing up for February event

The South Carolina United Methodist Men’s Men N Ministry team is hard at work planning its 2025 Annual Conference.  

The event is scheduled for Feb. 22, and once again will be held at Journey Church, 1151 Longreen Pkwy, Columbia.

“We try every year to make each year’s event better than the one before,” UMMen President Kenny Bingham said.

Bingham said the event will include participation from several scout troops. Steven Scheid, director of Men’s and Scouting Ministries, will hold a Scout Jamboree at Journey Church in conjunction with the men’s conference.

“Many of these young men will be our Men N Ministry leaders in a few short years,” Bingham noted.

The men will also gather for their annual golf tournament Friday, Feb. 21, as well as Cigars and Scriptures on Friday evening.

The theme is “Rise Up, Rise Up: Steps of a Good Man.” The Bible verse is Psalms 37:23-25.

“Our desire is to inspire you, motivate you and fill you with the Spirit so you will be a better husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and Christian, then go back home to make a difference in your local church and community,” Bingham said.
