UMCSC pastor releases free Lenten devotional, Bible study based on Poor People's Campaign and social justice
The Rev. Amiri B. Hooker, senior pastor of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Lake City, has developed a Lenten devotional based on the Poor People's Campaign’s agenda and revival, as well as some of his favorite social justice quotes.
There is a daily Lent devotional and a weekly Lent Bible study, each titled “On-Fire but Not Consumed.”
“I do hope they are useful in your ministry setting and bring some form of shalom and grace to the work we are doing in this restart, reset and renewal time,” Hooker said.
The resources are free.
